Australian virtuoso William Barton is one of the classical world’s leading didgeridoo players and composers. He joins the Rubens Quartet from The Hague for an evening of music with Western and Aboriginal influences.  Barton says. "I want to take the oldest culture in the world and blend it with Europe's rich musical legacy."  Traditional string quartets and solo didgeridoo will be performed along with a quintet written especially for Mr. Barton by Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe. “Sculthorpe's compositions,” states Barton, “sing with a spirit of place, portraying our land and the feelings each one of us have for Australia and its natural environment.”

 * All concerts are at Trinity Lutheran Church, 115 N 4th Street in Stillwater, MN 55082
